A grandmother gets pulled into her grandson's retro video game and beats the final boss with knitting.

Can has lost to the dragon Byte two hundred times. Grandma Nur offers to try, grabs the controller, and both of them are pulled into the game. Byte roars; Grandma tells him to use his indoor voice. Fifty years of knitting finally pay off.

Characters

Grandma Nur (Grandmother): A seventy-year-old grandmother who has never played a video game, and is unbeatable.
Can (Grandson): Her twelve-year-old grandson, a dedicated gamer.
Byte (The final boss): A giant pixel dragon who guards the last castle. Mostly just cold.

Episode 1: Press Start

Can loses to the dragon again. Grandma takes the controller, and they both get pulled into the game.

Can is stuck; Grandma offers to try. — Can: I've lost to this dragon 200 times!
Grandma Nur: Let me try, dear.

Grandma grabs the controller and the pixels swirl. — ZZZAP!

Inside the game. — Can: Grandma! We're INSIDE the game!
Grandma Nur: Lovely. Where's the dragon?

Episode 2: Final Boss

Byte roars. Grandma knits. The final boss has never been so cosy.

Byte roars over the lava. — Byte: WHO DARES ENTER MY CASTLE?
Grandma Nur: Young man, use your indoor voice.

Grandma dodges fireballs and knits at lightning speed. — Fifty years of knitting finally paid off.

The dragon is cosy and purring. — Can: You beat the final boss... with a scarf?
Grandma Nur: He was just cold, dear.
